We are looking for a C# developer that loves security and security evangelism. This person is a technical contributor responsible for building C# libraries that can be used at scale to support security and privacy by design, including anything from back-end services to their client-end counterparts. Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these reusable libraries, patterns and microservices, support security evangelism and training with full stack teams, and support the continued industrialization of security automation capabilities. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.
What You'll Be Doing at RapidDeploy
- Design, build, and maintain reusable C# libraries, frameworks, and patterns that support information security and privacy requirements
- Implement optimal Security and Privacy Threat Modelling approach and solutions
- Head security evangelism with full-stack teams
- Build automation and orchestration for security infrastructure
- Head security and privacy testing in coordination with Quality Assurance
- Head security training and education for developers and architects
- Manage SAST, SCA, and DAST platforms with a focus on providing fast feedback to developers
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
- Build effective data flow diagrams and documentation supporting architects and full-stack teams
- Write Evil User Stories, Security User Stories, and Privacy User Stories to be managed in the sprint
- Identify bottlenecks and technical vulnerabilities, and devise solutions to these problems
What You'll Need To Be Successful
- Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
- Azure library development – for functions like authentication
- Skill for writing security-focused reusable C# libraries
- Understanding of various design and architectural patterns
- Extensive experience with the .NET framework as well as .Net Core
- Preferred experience with React
- Be well versed with Secure Coding and hold the ability to provide recommendation and code improvements in-line with OWASP practices
- Extensive experience in threat modelling and entity-relationship diagrams
- Identity Provider integration experience beneficial. (ASP.NET Core, C#, Auth0, Okta or others)
- Knack for writing clean, readable C# code
- Strong experience with security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA), unit testing, and test driven development
- Familiarity with development pipeline and release management tools
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- Strong understanding of message queuing
- Strong understanding of asynchronous and multi-threaded applications
- Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and NoSQL
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Geek passion for understanding and documenting applications
- Experience in Azure Infrastructure resources required to run Web Applications
- Application Monitoring experience will be beneficial
Preferred Certifications:
GIAC Secure Software Programmer- .NET (GSSP-.NET)
Secure Coding for .NET Training
ISTQB certifications
This role is based in Austin, Texas; however, Remote Candidates may be considered if they are in Eastern / Central Time Zones
