Whole Foods Market, Retail Systems Test Engineering Team is responsible for ensuring that all components of the Point of Sale are Performant, Resilient and Production Ready from a Non-Functional Testing (NFT) perspective. This is a team of Engineers in Test which works to anticipate and prevent as well as reproduce complex engineering and business problems. We are looking for a Senior QA Performance Engineer with exceptional technical skills (Tools) and who loves to test the boundaries to keep our customers from experiencing hardware and software bugs. This role will require you to work closely with peers and business partners to increase the reliability and performance of our software solutions.
Develops, applies, and maintains test and quality standards for POS systems and products. Analyzes requirements to develop test scenarios. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans and manual and automated scripts for testing. Identifies, obtains, and validates data for use during testing.

Responsibilities

• Professional experience with Locust and JMeter Automation Tools for maintenance and test plan and case execution
• Analyze and report on performance tests using Splunk and PowerShell scripts
• Collect and generate test data
• Identifying, recording, and thoroughly documenting defect
• Deliver performance quality services using industry standards and best practices to meet customer requirements
• Lead performance testing and API validation requirements
• Participates in the assessment of new performance test tools to determine fit in the environment

Must Haves:

• BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Professional programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang
• 2+ years’ experience in a wide variety of load test and APM tools such as JMeter, Locust, Datadog, and Splunk
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field

Preference to those with the following:

• Working knowledge of assessing resilience and application performance
• POS and Payments experience
• Experience with testing APIs and back-end scaling, functionality, and integration testing
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience: Redshift, EC2, S3 and other performance/testing-related services
