The Opportunity

As a Sr. UI/Tools Graphics Engineer at Unity, you will help build impactful workflows for content creation and artist-facing features. You will learn Unity and Wētā Digital’s artist tools capabilities, then help us expand them by building pipelines that empower Unity developers to craft incredible visual experiences for real-time. We aim to develop innovations that solve real problems, rather than novelty for its own sake. You will join forces with the product teams to help define a successful landing path for the innovations. And ensure they have real impact on the lives of millions of Unity creators.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain high-quality UI and tools for authoring high-fidelity cutting-edge content for scalable rendering in real-time
• Research and experimenting with groundbreaking technologies, pioneering new techniques to match the constantly evolving demands of ours users and the industry
• Work tightly with a cross-discipline team, UX designers and technical artists to provide highly productive and effective art and content pipelines
• Build and maintain production-quality rendering and content creation workflows code

What we’re looking for

• Knowledge of current real-time and graphics rendering techniques.
• Experience in C#/C++
• Experience developing UI, tools and workflows using modern approaches and - scripting languages
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Bonus Points

• Experience developing rendering algorithms on modern console architectures or mobile platforms and/or PC
• Experience in AAA game development, VFX pipelines or DCC as a tools developer, as well as Unity's engine & tools
• Experience with data-driven design, and strong software architecture skills
