Software Engineer

Role requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 1-2 years of experience in software engineering

• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (we love Node.js and PHP)

• Good understanding of modern software engineering practices

• Solid grasp of relational database design concepts

• High-level understanding of front-end Javascript frameworks like React or Angular

Our stack

• Front-end sites written in React & Redux

• Back-end microservices written in Node.js and PHP 7, all deployed using Docker

• Tests using Jest, Mocha, PHPUnit, and Selenium

• Version control, continuous integration, and deployments using GitLab Pipelines

• Data Analytics Pipeline built using Python on top of Airflow, AWS Athena, and Tableau

• All built on top of AWS Services using Terraform:

  • CloudFront, ElastiCache, SNS/SQS, RDS, Lambda, Athena, and Redshift
