The Senior Front-End Developer is responsible for driving initiatives to increase overall demand generation via our websites. They will oversee and implement all website maintenance, prototyping and strategic development, while also analyzing website logs and metrics to make enhancements to support future growth. This role is tightly integrated with the marketing process, and supports campaign launches and brand awareness initiatives. This individual is a self-driver and initiator, and has a never-ending passion for innovating within the digital space.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and decision making for corporate websites that includes best practices and innovative solutions
  • Main tasks include website architecture, front and back end programming for websites, and app development
  • Prototyping of inventive development enhancements
  • Recognizing and implementing more efficient development tactics
  • Collaboration with design and marketing teams to fulfill business goals and developing web-page layout, content, and user interface to ensure site consistency and functionality
  • Coordinates with departments in maintaining and updating their web-page material including debugging, and regularly updating site security to keep pace with the evolving environment
  • Management over international language sites and monitoring translations of them
  • Researches and understands new web technologies including software and hardware developments, and recommends purchases and changes in design, security, software, and hardware based on those technology developments

 

Requirements:

  • 6+ years developing websites with a strong proficiency in writing clean, hand-coded X/HTML, Javascript, JQuery, CSS in consumer-facing web applications
  • Proficient in WordPress and solutioning around it
  • Experience building pixel-perfect, robust and, accessible user interfaces on the web
  • Experience with CSS3 and Less/Sass (ability to write mixins, partials, functions, etc) and usage in large scale applications
  • Expertise in front-end design and JavaScript libraries such as AngularJS, ReactJS, jQuery, and VueJS
  • Knowledge of standards and best practices for UX/UI design
  • Excellent mastery of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, and building in accessibility from the ground up
  • Comprehensive understanding of website translation processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that include the ability to articulate your coding rationale and problem-solving thought process
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive initiatives and conversations
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and how they tie into development
  • Thorough understanding of Google Analytics
  • Analytical thinker/problem solver
  • Organizational/Planning skills
  • Energetic with a strong work ethic and drive to succeed
  • Flexibility and willingness to quickly take on new roles and responsibilities

 

Education: BA/BS or equivalent work experience is required
