At Unity Austin, you'll be working on a team that is responsible for all stages of Unity's game and content build and delivery pipeline, including editor features and online services for content hosting as well as build management, sharing, and deployment to 3rd party app stores. In addition to working with the team in Austin, you will be part of a global QA team that actively optimizes the development, build, test, and deployment across all of Unity’s services offerings.

In this role, you will work with product management, producers, and development on test strategies and approaches for a variety of software projects. You will be actively involved in driving the team towards the best balance of automated and manual tests, and in ensuring tools and processes are in place to continually improve quality across the team. In addition to leading the team towards a more mature quality culture, we expect you to be hands on, and unafraid to dive in and solve technical testing challenges as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with entire team (QA, Development, Product Managers, Producers, and Operations) to ensure that we are delivering the highest quality software we can, with an emphasis on improved engineering flow
• Lead the team(s) towards continuous improvement and higher quality
• Solve technical problems and lead the team to solve their technical problems
• Communicate with peers and teams across Unity to ensure a quality end-to-end experience of all deliverables
• Collect and share relevant accomplishments or metrics with local and global teams as needed

 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in some combination of software development, software testing, or management / leadership
• Experience leading change across teams or organizations
• Leadership experience with Agile development methodologies
• Passion for testing and software development and for solving hard problems with code
• Experience using customer data to assess and improve product quality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a critical thinker, have a keen eye for quality from an analytical perspective
