Summary of Position:

The Expense AP Support team oversees accounts payable. This team supports researching inquiries, reconciling supplier statements, communicating issues to business partners and following proper Accounts Payable procedures to ensure timely research and resolution of supplier payments. This position has additional responsibilities related to data analysis, project/supplier management, and proactive root cause resolution. An understanding of store, regional, and global operations that relate to Expense Accounts Payable is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Support AP functions, which may include but are not limited to, the following:
    • Utilize a variety of software/systems to research, review, correct and process outstanding items for payment
    • Research and answer internal and external business partners inquiries including payment issues, audit requests, and past due items
    • Learn and understand operations to ensure accurate and proper payment
    • Troubleshoot technical and business processes related to Accounts Payable matters to ensure timely and accurate payments
    • Review and reconcile supplier statements to request and process outstanding items
    • Identify and communicate issues directly or indirectly related to Accounts Payable
  • Ability to train and share knowledge with team members
  • Ability to retrieve data from multiple sources and effectively analyze to present findings to internal and external business partners
  • Own complex issues that require communication and collaboration with regional and/or Global business partners to reach a solution
  • Ability to own and drive special projects goal to improve Accounts Payable processes and the Accounting areas impacted
  • Create, update and abide by Accounts Payable procedures and policies
  • To perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must be very detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of project management
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to be proactive and take initiative to resolve root causes
  • Comfortable with providing and receiving feedback
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
