ABOUT THE FINANCE TEAM

The Finance team is a data-driven, results-oriented group that supports Aceable in monitoring and analyzing data for strategic decision-making. We take great pride in being a key partner to leaders across the organization as decisions about the business are considered. The Finance team consists of the Finance Operations, Accounting, FP&A, Business Intelligence, and supporting M&A execution and integration. Aceable is well-positioned to grow organically and through acquisition in which the Finance team will play a critical part.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Aceable is looking for a self-motivated and results-driven Director of FP&A to work closely with Aceable’s CFO in leading the financial planning and analysis function for Aceable. You will work with stakeholders for ad-hoc analysis in supporting decisions, play a key role in the annual budgeting processes, as well as lead assessing the financial performance of Aceable against expectations (variance analysis of actuals to budget or forecast), and much more. This role has regular interactions with the executive team across Aceable as well as Aceable’s board as the Finance team communicates financial results and expectations with context to various stakeholders. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • In conjunction with CFO, play a significant role in the annual budgeting process
  • Track spend changes across departments and at a company level with variance analysis communicated to CFO and other leadership, including articulation of what is causing the variances regarding variables/levers in the business
  • Maintain reporting/tracking infrastructure  
  • Maintain operating model used to update forecasts/budget
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis (full P&L/margin impact) with oversight from CFO
  • Build dynamic financial models showing the financial impact of various decisions being considered with multiple variables
  • Manage junior FP&A resources with proper prioritization of tasks

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 7-10 years experience in a financial analysis function
  • Significant experience with dynamic excel modeling (including full 3 statement financial models, circular references, etc.)
  • Strong business knowledge and intuition
  • Intellectual curiosity to proactively answer and anticipate key questions
  • Knowledge of interdependencies of the financial statements and how changes impact
  • Key desire to drive operational efficiencies and leverage in the FP&A function
  • Comfort working in a dynamic environment

BONUS POINTS

  • Technology company and/or online education experience
  • SQL and/or business intelligence/analytics experience
  • Investment Banking or Financial Consulting experience
  • Undergraduate or Master’s level degree in a Finance related concentration
