Senior Accountant
Digital Turbine, Inc. (NASDAQ: APPS) is looking to fill a key accounting position in their Austin downtown office. This role will report to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities of the Sr. Accountant:
- Complete month-end close tasks in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
- Own certain workflow processes within the monthly/quarterly/annual operational accounting cycles
- Conduct monthly/quarterly/annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Review and reconcile inter-company accounts/transactions
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Assist in external auditors in quarterly reviews and annual audits to ensure compliance
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Liaise with Accounting Manager and other Accounting and Finance leadership to improve financial close processes and procedures
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Advance accounting knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Perform other corporate accounting tasks in accordance with the needs of the business
Qualifications for the Sr. Accountant:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required (Master’s preferred)
- 4+ years’ experience in industry accounting
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/quarter-end/year-end close process
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with development and maintenance of internal controls in a public company environment
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with Intacct, Concur, and/or Floqast is a plus
