Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
RetailMeNot is looking for a Sr Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to join our BizOps (Business Operations) team at our headquarters in the heart of sunny, downtown Austin.
Our BizOps team provides cross-functional decision support to partners across the company. From business operators to the CFO and Executive team, we offer valuable analysis to better inform management decision-making, evaluate initiatives that contribute to strategic plans, and develop important metrics to understand and evaluate business performance.
As Sr Manager, FP&A, you will be responsible for three key areas:
- Pricing Strategy and Deals Desk: you will be responsible for building our Pricing Strategy, and ensure price realization thru Deals Desk oversight
-Sales Compensation & Goaling: you will build the goals for our Sales team and be involved in the design and modification of our Sales Comp plan.
-Forecasting, planning and Budgeting: you will play an active role in building forecasts, and supporting the planning and annual budgeting process
You will also lead a team and contribute on special projects. The role reports to Director, Planning & Monetization.

Who You Are:
- You have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or a related field
- You have a minimum of six to eight (6-8) years of experience in either strategic advisory FP&A, Management Consulting, or Business Operations
- You have a minimum 2 years people management experience
- You have a deep understanding of pricing, and experienced in building and implementing pricing strategy
- You have a deep understanding of planning, budgeting and forecasting and revenue management concepts and methodologies
- You have experience in interacting with Sales teams, especially on goaling, sales compensation and pricing
- You have experience of working on Salesforce, SQL, Excel and knowledge of Quote-to-Cash systems
- You have strong organizational, planning, quantitative, financial modeling and analytical skills; strategic and creative thinking with keen business judgment and ability to see the "big picture"
- You have experience synthesizing independently generated data points into a cohesive analysis and clearly communicate the results of complex analyses to a wide audience in a credible fashion, including experience in presenting to senior leadership
- You have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to cultivate productive working relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
- Strong data analysis and project management skills
- Background in eCommerce a strong plus
What You'll Do:
- You will directly manage a team of FP&A analysts
- You will develop Pricing Strategy and ensure price realization through Deals Desk oversight
- You will optimize pricing strategy and architecture through a detailed understanding of the market landscape, product offerings, customer value propositions, and business models
- Provide oversight to Deals Desk team and report on price realization
- Responsible for Forecasting, Planning and Annual Budgeting
- Play a leading role in guiding team to build forecasts for RMN’s various business lines
- Collaborate with operating leaders on strategic issues and assumptions to incorporate into the planning process and how general market conditions influence the Company’s forecasts
- Drive comprehensive assessment of variances, highlight changes to the respective functional leadership teams, and work with them to continuously refine the strategies
- Responsible for Sales Compensation plan design and administration
- Design Sales Compensation policy and establish targets in alignment with our financial goals
- Act as a thought-partner in providing analytical insight and perspectives to the leadership team
- Prepare analyses, reports, and presentations for senior management and our parent holding company, in an accurate and timely fashion and
- Support the development of the strategic direction of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to meet the business demands.
- Lead a team and contribute on special projects
