We have an exciting opportunity for a staff accountant on our growing accounting team in Austin, Texas. We are an early stage, high-growth company that is creating a category of HyperWellness to bring preventative wellness to all consumers. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and both learn and grow with the business. Your ability to have an impact on the company is meaningful, in an Accounting team that is building for the future.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in month end close process
• Prepare journal entries in NetSuite accounting system
• Perform bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve any errors or irregularities
• Work with other team to develop or improve process as well as create efficiencies
• Participate in ad hoc projects
• Assist in preparation and explanation of audit reports and schedules
• Maintain internal controls throughout all accounting functions and workflows

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree with a strong knowledge of GAAP
• Two years’ experience in staff accountant or similar role
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective and direct oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
• Strong collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and responsibilities
• General ledger experience and familiarity with intercompany accounts
• Experience in preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience with NetSuite a plus
• Franchise experience a plus
• A positive attitude
