Aceable is seeking a Staff Accountant to provide accounting support services for Aceable. This position will work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager and our Accounting & Financial Operations team to ensure accurate and timely information is documented in our accounting records.

ABOUT THE FINANCE TEAM

The Aceable Finance team is a data-driven, results oriented group responsible for accurate financial reporting, business operations, and data analysis for strategic decision-making. We take great pride in being a key partner to leaders across the organization as decisions about the business are considered. The Finance team consists of the Finance Operations, Accounting, FP&A, Treasury & Tax, and Business Analytics. We are highly focused on people as our priority building on Aceable’s core values to drive a high performance culture and build inclusive teams. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepare Journal Entries and ensure accurate account and cost center coding
• Prepare and maintain detail level schedules of asset & liability accounts such as prepaid expenses, fixed assets, lease obligations, accrued expenses, etc.
• Review proper accounting treatment for balance sheet and income statement accounts 
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations through month end close procedures
• Assist with monthly variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Support audit engagements, including providing supporting documentation
• Effectively collaborate cross-functionally within the organization.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Accounting
• 2+ years corporate accounting experience
• Strong technical and analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset
• Strong work ethic with a high level of initiative, teamwork, urgency and ownership and integrity
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word
