Vice President, Investment Management

Amherst’s growing investment management business will continue to evolve as its investor base and suite of products broadens. The VP, Investment Management will report into the COO of Investment Management and will partner with the various investment management teams to continue establishing the structure, processes, and systems to facilitate growth and help the business scale.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the investment banking, mortgage banking, portfolio management, asset management, and research teams to develop processes, as well as implement systems and risk management metrics that allow the teams to scale effectively and efficiently serve a broader, more varied investor base with a range of investment products
Support the investor coverage, investor relations, and institutional marketing teams in delivering a consistent, world-class investor experience
Work with investment management team leaders to identify areas of opportunities and priority projects
Develop work plans and partner with investment management teams to execute against those plans
Execute analytics, conduct research, and establish ongoing reporting metrics
Assist with preparation of management and investor update materials
Develop results tracking mechanisms, and establish processes and resources for ongoing oversight
Qualifications:
5 plus years at an investment bank, management consulting firm or equivalent business experience
Extensive modeling experience, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Highly analytical and process-oriented
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, good attention to detail
Flexible and adaptable with excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills
Highly self-motivated and results-focused, executes efficiently and effectively
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, able to inspire and move others to effect change
