As the Insurance Products Manager, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing new property & casualty products to distribute to our existing customer base, and ensure the success of the program through effective underwriting and quoting processes. You will work closely with the CEO, sales, and engineering teams to take new products from idea to launch. This a brand new role in the organization giving you an opportunity to build out strong processes and an elite team.

What You'll Do

  • You’ll have decision rights on the design and development of three new insurance programs
  • Build a team to execute on underwriting and risk management
  • Assist with analysis of the drivers of profitability including loss ratios, actuarial indications, frequency/severity trends, retention and other data for all products, books and channels
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and build online tooling that enhances user experience and streamlines quoting processes
  • Analyze industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our products and services

About You

  • 5+ years of experience working for a major insurance carrier, with at least 2 years of that experience in underwriting 
  • Expert in navigating SERFF
  • Bonus points if you have strong surplus lines relationships
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • An innate motivation to apply your expertise in the P&C industry to a fast growing Insurtech
