Square Root is built on understanding our customers' data more deeply than they do. We’re looking for a data engineering intern to join our quest to make data management an ever-greater differentiator for us. You should be eager to learn, able to adapt and perfect your work, + willing to seek out help and put it to good use. You’ll work alongside our data and infrastructure engineering teams to assist with the build and release tasks, testing automation for data quality, + get to do the fun stuff like data analysis. Having tech chops will serve you well here as we use a range of tools and technologies: Looker, Snowflake, etc. to help us make sense of messy data.

This is a full-time paid internship for Summer 2019. The actual day to day will ultimately be shaped around the intern’s individual interests and skill sets. We plan to provide an environment of learning and mentorship + our intern will be in a position to have a real impact at Square Root. If this is your kind of challenge - apply today!

About You

• Must be a rising senior or currently pursuing a masters degree in computer science
• Python and SQL knowledge is required
• Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivation, maniacal attention to detail, and desire to produce the highest quality work
• Must be in the Austin Metro Area
