Summer Intern - Technical Assistance Center
Q2 is seeking energetic, innovative, “out of the box” thinkers with a passion for software and technology to join our 2021 Summer Intern Program.
We are seeking an IT Help Desk Intern to work with the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) team. The Intern will work closely with the team in the support of short duration projects, and provide technical assistance to internal employees.
The Summer Internship Program is 12-weeks long (May 25th - August 13th) and all positions are paid hourly with an average work week of 40 hours. In addition to your daily work, you will be given the opportunity for weekly classroom trainings with Sr. Leadership, activities with other Q2 interns and the opportunity to present to the Executive Leadership team at the end of the program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a first responder to user requests for IT help.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
- Assist with the deployment of new equipment.
- Assist in collecting information for the equipment inventory.
- Execute PC retirement process for End-of-Life computer equipment
- Support, identify, diagnoses and resolve Level I helpdesk issues for end user’s technologies across the organization.
- Provide accurate and timely logging of problems or resolutions in helpdesk cases
- Review and recommend modifications to help desk procedures
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Pursuing a Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Have exceptional work ethic, highly efficient and accurate
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Have ability to operate independently and proactively with minimal up-front instruction and take ownership of work product; driven, diligent, and self-motivated
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent written communications and ability to convey technical concepts to a broad audience.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service focus
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Be trustworthy and discreet with confidential financial and employee data.
