Lead Software Engineer, Applications

We are seeking a Lead Application Engineer to spearhead our application development team, focusing on delivering high-quality applications that our customers rely on for their day-to-day operations. This role involves leading a cross-functional team of developers and designers to create intuitive and reliable applications for both a tablet-based interface for robotic forklifts and a comprehensive cloud application for fleet management.
What you’ll do:
- Upgrade the design and functionality of the apps our customers use to operate our robots to support new features like trailer loading, and remote task assignment
- Build a web portal that allows customers to monitor their fleet’s performance, extract business value and configure details of the robots’ operating environment
- Collaborate closely with our product designer and stakeholders to ensure the features the team implements deliver maximum value
- Manage and provide technical leadership for your team
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of industry experience developing web or mobile apps in TypeScript and React
- Demonstrable examples of leading a team to deliver high quality applications
Nice to have:
- Experience with robotics or IoT environments
- Familiarity with Python, MongoDB, OAuth, or Android app development
- Be located in Austin, TX and able to come into the office several days a week
