Description
We are seeking a highly creative, collaborative self-starter to join a dynamic marketing team in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. The content marketing manager for Blackbaud’s fund accounting solutions will create and publish content across a variety of channels, requiring strong communication skills and an editorial mindset.
Audience and Market Expertise
- Obtain a deep understanding of our fund accounting solution buyers—their professional challenges, needs, and motivations—and create engaging, audience-focused content that is optimized for conversion along the buyer’s journey
- Develop a deep understanding of the financial management software market including competitors, influencers, and experts
- Ensure that Blackbaud’s fund accounting solution’s unique value proposition is accurately represented across all marketing channels through effective positioning, collateral, digital content by acting as the subject matter expert on external-facing messaging and content in partnership with product marketing
Content Production and Publication
- Research and evaluate potential opportunities to partner with external thought leaders and subject matter experts to increase brand awareness via content development and publication
- Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to produce and publish brand-adherent thought leadership and product-focused content
- Partner closely with the demand generation marketing team to execute on shared campaigns, producing high-quality content to build brand awareness, support funnel goals for leads and conversion, and delight customers
- Develop an ongoing cadence of content performance measurement across publication channels to inform optimization efforts
- Collaborate with vertical marketing teams develop audience-focused, industry-specific positioning/messaging
- Manage and update collateral library, external collateral, and internal positioning/messaging resources
Experience and Skills
- BA/BS required
- 1-3 years of content marketing experience
- Self-motivated, inquisitive, and analytical
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Google Analytics preferred
- Basic understanding of SEO and experience developing content for the web
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign and Photoshop)
- Exceptional writing ability across a variety of media (writing samples required)
- Prior experience with bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and project management skills and ability to prioritize project workstreams involving multiple stakeholders
