Content Marketing Manager, Rx Saver
RetailMeNot Rx Saver is expanding our marketing efforts and searching for a Content Marketing Manager to join our newly created team in beautiful downtown Austin. You will play a critical role in the creation, optimization and distribution of content to drive awareness, trust and adoption of the Rx Saver site and mobile app. Our dream candidate thrives in a startup culture, possessing strong communication and writing skills, excellent problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of our target audience and an undeniable eye for detail. You will play a key role in helping us execute our strategy to drive customer acquisition and customer retention while building brand affinity and loyalty.
Who You Are
- You have a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or English. MPH degree is a plus.
- You have 5+ years of experience creating B2C digital content with an emphasis on news reporting and research-based writing. Healthcare vertical experience a plus.
- Experience leading a team of freelancers and other individual contributors
- You have experience developing SEO content strategies, keyword research and link-building
- You have working knowledge of content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, HubSpot, etc.) and Photoshop
- Proficiency with marketing technology/platforms, including Google Analytics, Tableau, Facebook Insights, LinkedIn, Twitter and social/community management tools like Sprout Social
- You are detailed with copy editing expertise and familiarity with AP Style
- Self-starter, capable of staying on top of the latest healthcare and pharmaceutical trends
- Love working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, especially during key seasonal periods
- You are innovative with the commitment to not only express ideas but act on them
- You have excellent organizational and time-management skills
What You'll Do
- Develop a content marketing strategy that builds awareness, credibility and adoption of Rx Saver
- Lead the day-to-day management of the blog, including writing your own articles, assigning articles to freelance SMEs and agencies, editing content and images and uploading all to CMS
- Own the tone and voice of the Rx Saver brand by editing for grammar, usage, consistency, accuracy and style
- Create and manage a content calendar and promotional strategy with input from key partners
- Work cross-functionally with departments like SEO, Social, Creative and PR to drive link-building and organic traffic goals
- Track and analyze key blog health metrics (e.g. traffic, time on page, bounce) and make content optimizations based on performance
- Monitor competitor blogs and stay up to date on search trends to identify opportunities for organic traffic growth and page ranking
- Listen to customers and stay up to date on market trends to identify relevant topics and timely content themes
- Identify relevant sites and/or influencers that Rx Saver would benefit from partnering with
- Champion strategy, plans and results internally
