At Texas Health Action (THA) and Kind Clinic, we are passionate about changing the face of healthcare by making biomedical interventions and services for sexual wellness and health accessible. Director of Marketing and Communications

Reports to Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. Supervises Marketing Campaign Manager Works closely with the Creative Director, Director of Development.

What you would do

· Design comprehensive, measurable marketing campaigns to drive new patient acquisitions for THA programs like Kind Clinic and TeleKind which focus on LGBTQIA+ populations

· Develop marketing and communications strategies to reduce stigma and engage those most at risk of HIV transmission

· Manage day-to-day relationship with external Public Relations firm for earned media in local, state and national publications

· Work closely with the executive team to design and oversee an internal communications strategies that support all programs under the THA umbrella

· Work with the Creative Director to ensure consistent application of the brand in all campaigns and marketing activities

  • Conduct market research including closely monitoring current and potential competitor’s activities

· Ensure adherence to organizational values in all marketing and communications with special focus on inclusion and sex-positivity

· Regularly seek and integrate feedback from members of the community, thought leaders, and THA staff

· Stay up to date on the latest marketing trends and technologies

· Attend conferences to maintain industry best practices in marketing and communications

· Research and guide professional development opportunities for all direct reports

· Contribute to vendor selection process and monitor vendor activities to ensure adherence to THA’s values and expectations

· Other duties as assigned

Previous work and education must include

· Degree in marketing, communications, or comparable work experience

· Minimum of 8 years combined marketing and communications experience

· Mastery of designing and managing omni-channel marketing campaigns in multiple markets

· Significant experience in public relations or managing a public relations agency relationship

· Experience in executing internal communications strategies

· Significant experience supervising, leading teams and overseeing external vendor relationships

· Master of designing, managing departmental budgets

· Proven experience analyzing complex data and converting that data into marketing and communications strategies

· Success in launching go-to-market campaigns

· Previous work marketing healthcare or other public service focused organizations

· Significant experience directly serving LGBTQIA+ communities and/or historically marginalized communities

· Spanish speaker or significant experience working with translators a plus
