The Role:

You’ll build and execute TrendKite’s PR and thought leadership strategy. This requires you to be a thought leader in PR and on the cutting edge of data-driven best practices, since we’re changing the way the brands and agencies maximize their return on earned media. It also requires you to be a hands-on practitioner, spending your time writing, pitching, and persuading. You’ll need to bring a provocative, data-driven point of view on the evolution of the PR industry.

What you'll do at TrendKite:

• Own TrendKite’s thought leadership program and positioning.
• Drive awareness and positive coverage of TrendKite with press and analysts.
• Be a power user of our tools for journalist identification outreach, PR measurement and analysis, and more.
• Be our hands-on PR practitioner, doing the work yourself rather than acting as liaison with an agency or managing a team of minions
• Proactively pitch stories that advance TrendKite’s narrative of disrupting the PR technology landscape by bringing data-driven measurement, advanced analytics, and optimized workflow.
• Tell stories that resonate with customer personas ranging from CMOs to VPs of Communications to PR Managers, tailored across a number of key market segments.
• Be TrendKite’s number 1 customer. Serve as internal evangelist and consultant on PR pains, concerns, and best practices for sales and marketing teams that sell into the PR market.
• Working with Sales as an advocate and SME.
• Set earned media and other key reporting metrics that drive achievement of business goals.

What you MUST bring to the table:

• 7+ years experience in PR and CommunicationsFamiliarity with PR Analytics tools (including competitive solutions as well as TrendKite)
• 4 year Bachelor's degree
• Experience in SaaS companies
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident (We will not sponsor at this time)
• An impressive portfolio and track record of driving thought leadership
• Positivity and desire to uplift and share knowledge with those around you
• Adaptable but organized- We're a start up! You've got to be OK with being on your toes at times but able to maintain focus within your day-to-day activities to reach goals
• Stellar communication & time management skills both over the phone and in writing

• Sold to midsize and larger complex companies
