The Role:

Blackbaud University is the customer training team at Blackbaud, dedicated to powering social good with knowledge. Customer marketers are pioneers who drive to delight and engage customers, and this role’s primary responsibility is to drive customer adoption, consumption and renewal of training subscriptions. From strategy to design to execution, this role shapes both the voice as well as the overall journey students will experience with Blackbaud University. This role participates as part of a cross-functional team responsible for the ongoing growth within the business and coordinates campaigns and initiatives to align with strategies set to exceed targets around consumption, customer delight, revenue and renewals.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute marketing plan for regular customer communications and campaigns
  • Maintain consistent and delightful experience throughout a student’s journey with Blackbaud University
  • Identify opportunities to further engage customers with Blackbaud University that will lead to increased training subscription renewal rates

  • Incredibly creative marketing and communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills to help nurture customer relationships and work with cross-functional teams
  • Analytical skills to determine marketing effectiveness and ROI of customer engagement efforts
  • Strategic thinker that can see beyond the day-to-day to help reach marketing and sales goals, create a stronger brand, and improve the student experience

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration on communications, marketing, or business; or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in customer marketing, demand generation or marketing communications
  • Technical knowledge of the latest digital marketing tools and channels, including LMS and marketing automation platforms
  • Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns and programs successful at driving customer engagement and advocacy
  • Proven project management skills – ability to prioritize, beat deadlines, drive and complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to write effective copy is a necessity; graphic design capabilities are a plus
  • Familiarity with B2B marketing, lead generation and sales processes
  • Bonus: Marketo experience; HTML
