RapidDeploy, based in Austin, TX, is in search of a creative and enthusiastic Events Manager to join our dynamic team and help us advance our vision of improving public safety response. You will be responsible for enhancing our brand-to-client experience, improving customer engagement and loyalty and elevating RapidDeploy’s image within the public safety industry.
What You'll Be Doing at RapidDeploy
- Own the end-to-end management for all events: live, virtual and hybrid.
- Project manage event logistics across all stages of the event lifecycle, including pre-event planning, execution, post-event follow-up. This includes preparing briefing packs and documentation for events, scheduling travel for event participants and conducting post-event action meetings.
- Communicate the event execution plan to internal/external stakeholders and manage all conference staffing, scheduling and registration details.
- Oversee booth setup & logistics; act as the lead onsite contact throughout the event.
- Collaborate with executive leadership regarding event strategy and objectives to ensure alignment with business goals; provide recommendations to achieve maximum impact for minimal spend.
- Proactively identify national and local events for participation and/or sponsorship.
- Increase company engagement and brand awareness at events by ensuring speaking engagement submissions and Call for Papers are submitted on time; with a high standard of excellence.
- Create and manage all event budgets.
- Quantify business results of all activities with data-driven analysis.
- Assume ownership of inventory management of all sales / event materials and related event assets.
What You'll Need to be Succesful
- 5 years of proven experience leading complex in-person AND virtual events (portfolio examples required)
- Experience with event registration systems, virtual webinar platforms and familiarity with CRM systems (Hubspot preferred)
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment and remain calm under pressure
- Customer-focused approach in all aspects of event planning
- Strong negotiation skills with external vendors/associations
- Stellar communication skills, both written and verbal including a command of proof reading
- Excellent critical thinking and active listening skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (once in-person events resume) and work flexible hours
