Product Marketing Manager, Services
Cloudflare is looking for a senior product marketer, who cares as much about the customer experience as we do, to promote our amazing services and support offerings. We have dedicated teams working 24/7/365 to ensure that customers are as delighted as possible with the outcomes of using Cloudflare for their digital transformation. We are looking for someone who truly understands the advantage of migration, support and value-added services for our customers and who understands the market opportunity for our partners and for Cloudflare. You will develop strategic marketing plans, lead launches, create content and evangelize the message to prospects, customers, sellers and partners. You will seek out the most incredible stories from our services teams all over the world and you will bring them to life with passion and and technical accuracy. The ideal candidate will understand how to effectively use a maturity model to develop the right campaigns for the right audiences: support services are a differentiator for new customers, advisory and professional services help expand our footprint with existing customers and managed services build on the value Cloudflare offers, allowing our customers to achieve greater outcomes with no new appliances to manage and without needing more staff.
Your product focus will cover three main areas:
  • Support services for large and rapidly growing enterprises that require additional one-on-one guidance can include a designated success team to provide highly customized tuning and strategic assistance every step of the way in addition to 24/7 coverage, "Under Attack" support and proactive rule-based alerting on availability, latency, reachability, attack and health checks.
  • Professional/managed services such as Security Operations Center (SOC)-as-a-Service comprising a special team of cybersecurity experts within Cloudflare that monitor enterprise environments continuously for security threats and operational disruptions, and perform deep analysis to identify attack vectors and network outages.
  • Partner Services. Cloudflare works closely with the best technology service partners to deliver advisory, professional and managed services including assessments, technology migrations and solution management.

This product and solutions marketing role is high impact, and requires a results-oriented, experienced marketer to be successful. You will work directly with Sales, Product Management, Partners, Business Development and all Marketing disciplines to take new products to market and develop messaging and campaigns that drive greater awareness of Cloudflare's service offerings. You will support new customer acquisition with effective messaging, and account expansion by promoting Cloudflare Cloudflare's services, to existing customers at the right stage of the maturity model.
Your responsibilities will also include full product marketing ownership of SOC-as-a-Service, which is designed to meet the security monitoring, threat detection and incident response needs of enterprises of all sizes and sophistication, across Layer 3, Layer 4, and Layer 7. You will understand customer needs, dig into product details, and elevate our messaging to deliver solution-oriented, breakthrough initiatives. You will enjoy this role if you like working with fast-paced teams and having autonomy to drive your initiatives. This role is a part of our Solutions Team in Product Marketing team and reports into our Senior Director of Solutions Product Marketing. This will be a highly visible role within the organization, which will have a significant impact on the long-term growth of the fast-growing Cloudflare business and our reputation with customers in all geographies, segments and industries.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for all services and support messaging including for cross-platform products such as the SOC-as-a-Service, competitive analysis and positioning, product launch management, GTM strategy, sales enablement, and customer insights to inform sales and marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.
  • Understand and exploit the weaknesses of both box vendors as well as cloud providers with weaker offerings.
  • Evangelize Cloudflare products to analysts, prospects, and customers-in meetings, webinars, conferences and at tradeshows.
  • Be the voice of the product to the entire marketing team. Be the voice of the marketing team to product management and CTO organization.
  • Develop messaging that proves Cloudflare's differentiation in services.
  • Partner with demand generation and expansion marketing teams to generate awareness, adoption, pipeline and revenue for services for Cloudflare and partners.
  • Provide support for the field sales teams in the form of sales plays for both mid-market and enterprise.
  • Partner with our Analyst Relations team to establish Cloudflare as a leader in this space.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in technology product marketing/product management.
  • Experience at one or more application performance/reliability vendors or professional services companies.
  • Knowledge of how the Internet works, including web applications, CDN, HTTP, DNS, Load balancing.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills. This role demands someone who is gifted in their ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including product management, sales, comms, and marketing.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate unforeseen obstacles gracefully.
  • Self-starter who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative cloud services company.
  • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field.
