We are looking for a Social Media Intern to join the RetailMeNot Marketing team in beautiful, downtown Austin. In this role, you will support the Consumer Marketing team as we collectively drive growth and improve user engagement across our platforms. You will learn how to create paid social media campaigns, develop and manage communities and optimize our social media channels to meet performance goals.

Who You Are:

• You are pursuing a BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or Economics
• You're passionate about engaging with consumers through social channels
• You are an enthusiastic, self-starter with strong organizational skills, a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• You have the ability to flex and juggle multiple objectives to consistently deliver projects on time
• You are interested in analyzing and using data to help push performance
• You're a great teammate who thrives in a rapid growth, evolving environment

What You'll Do:

• You'll partner cross-functionally within consumer marketing and customer service to manage and execute social media campaigns and organic content across multiple platforms, learning every stage of the process from creative concepting to tracking and optimizing performance.
• You'll maintain weekly channel reports to track performance of initiatives.
• You will help to overhaul RetailMeNot’s Pinterest page to reorganize, add new content, optimize for SEO and find opportunities to drive more traffic to RMN.
• You will assist in Community management by searching and indexing brand reviews and mentions online and analyzing brand and product sentiment to find key themes or areas of opportunity.
• You will create a new RMN closed Facebook group and build an internal community along with a calendar plan to grow membership.
• You will assist in creating social community management processes and efficiencies, including new canned responses for customer support teams.
• You'll be an online brand advocate by engaging with Facebook and Instagram followers in ads and posts and moderating conversations.
