Job Summary:

To be successful as the Vice President of Product Marketing for the newly combined Lithium + Spredfast, you are a dynamic leader and manager who is both analytical and creative. You have a vision for where to take the marketing of the products and solutions to drive revenue, reach new audiences and retain existing customers. You delegate effectively, invest in developing and mentoring your team and inspire excellence. You thrive on the combination of assessing pipeline and revenue trends, defining addressable markets, evaluating pricing models AND creating sticky value propositions, headlines and inspiring presentations. You will be the voice of the customer to the business and the voice of the business to our market; you can translate complex technology into compelling and provocative stories that drive demand and customer love.

You are a confident front-of-room presenter and can effectively synthesize information into what matters most to your audience. You're also comfortable working at the speed and with the ambiguity that comes with a fast-paced, innovative market. You can make tough decisions, maintain composure, and exude positivity. Ultimately, you're a driven, self-starter who is able to deliver high-quality marketing and sales enablement materials through your team.

Responsibilities:

  • GTM oversight over product suite messaging and pipeline
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the product marketing and analyst relations team
  • Understand and track performance metrics by product across the portfolio
  • Drive product communication strategy for press, customer marketing, webinars, revenue campaigns, Summit, field events, and white papers.
  • Quickly become an expert on buyer personas, Social KPIs, industry trends and the messages and hooks that drive pipeline and revenue
  • Proven ability to be the subject matter expert on a platform and the competitive landscape;
  • Peep current on new ideas, developments and trends in our market
  • Develop the tools necessary to support the sales process, such as sales presentations, competitive briefs, FAQs, etc.
  • Provide oversight to Product Marketing managers during product launches and provide visibility into these launches to the Marketing Leadership, Senior Leadership, and Executive teams
  • Identify different use cases of our evolving product capabilities, craft messaging articulating these use cases for customers, prospective customers, and internal teams.
  • Interact with sales, customer success and customers on a regular basis to continuously vet messaging and positioning and refine as needed
  • Provide ideas/input back to Product Management to help continuously improve the product and keep the company informed about customer feedback and data gathered in the field
  • Directly interface with analysts and press in support of initiatives, launches, briefings, and evaluations as an executive representative of the company.
  • Interact with senior leaders at customer and prospect accounts to provide best practices, industry trends and thought leadership reinforcing our current and potential partnership.
  • Speak at events, webinars, customer events, and other industry events.
  • Work closely with the CMO on executive-level marketing initiatives including, but not limited to, acquisitions, pricing and positioning, strategic announcements, etc.
  • Reports to the Chief Marketing Officer

Requirements:

  • Ability to thrive in the fast-paced and ever-changing environment of a mid-sized startup a must.
  • A fluency in product performance metrics
  • 10+ years professional experience in Marketing including 3+ years in Product Marketing and at least 3 years leading a team of 5+ professionals with varying levels of experience
  • Combination of MBA and Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Prior experience in B2B marketing; SaaS (understanding of value drivers in SaaS subscription / recurring revenue business models) and experience marketing multiple product lines preferred
  • Contagious enthusiasm about social media, digital marketing, messaging and communities and their combined power to change the game of customer engagement
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail and organization is paramount with a continuous desire to learn and improve
  • Proven track record of delivering to schedule and to results
