Systems Administrator

We are looking for a dynamic System Administrator who will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure as well as ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to Q2’s high standards
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer servers, desktop computers, VoIP phones, tablets, smartphones, and software deployment
- Apply security patching for Windows and Linux systems during maintenance windows
- Upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure or add new services as needed
- Analyze and isolate issues to ensure uptime of mission critical services and applications
- Provide Tier II support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
- Implement, upgrade and configure system software that supports infrastructure applications and Asset/Inventory Management applications per project or operational needs
- Evaluate system performance across the corporate network
- Perform regular file archival and data migrations as necessary
- Perform network address assignment
- Active Directory user and service account administration
- Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services
- Implement GPO policies for the use of the computer system and network
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
- Password and identity management
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 5 years of technical experience or equivalent work related experience required
- Experience with Identity Management tools – SSO & SAML 2.0
- Experience with VMware and other virtualization hypervisors
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, or Rackspace Cloud services
- Experience administration of cloud powered tools: NetSuite, Salesforce & Office 365 Application Suite.
- Experience creating and running Microsoft PowerShell Scripts
- Certification in one or more of the following: MSCA, MCSE, VCP-DCV or RHCT
- Ability to work individually, as a team, and cross-functionally to resolve complex issues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability and willingness to be on-call and work during maintenance windows
