The Role

PLANOLY is looking for a Director of Digital Marketing to join our rapidly growing company based in Austin, Texas. The Director of Digital Marketing will be key lead on the marketing team and responsible for driving growth for PLANOLY across our mobile and web applications. 

This person will have ownership of the overall digital marketing strategy for our products. This is an exciting opportunity to shape marketing as we focus on new strategies to drive growth. As such, we are looking for a multi-faceted individual who has a proven track record of building and implementing digital strategies across email, SEO, and performance marketing.

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about digital marketing and has the technical skills, analytical mindset, and ambition to accelerate business growth. As we are a dynamic, high-growth company, the ideal candidate is a player/coach who can coach a team and advocate for resources, while possessing the ability to get your hands dirty if needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own our digital marketing activities across identifying, planning, and managing customer acquisition channels
  • Develop insights into our users and target personas to drive the acquisition approach and collaborate across marketing to devise creative digital campaigns that convert
  • Build a performance marketing engine that enables data-driven measurement across tracking, attribution and optimization to improve effectiveness and efficiency of our digital marketing efforts. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the capability and consistency in tracking across platforms, content and teams, identifying and advocating for new technologies that help achieve goals
  • Be a trusted internal Hubspot expert, managing our marketing site and developing email strategies, including automated campaigns, that focus on the buying journey and increase paid conversion
  • Explore and test new campaign types, tactics and strategies to create systems of continual optimization and improvement
  • Set quarterly and annual goals in collaboration with leadership stakeholders. Plan, design and execute digital campaigns to support various businesses goals and objectives. Develop reporting to share results and learnings with the marketing, product, and executive teams. 
  • Coach and mentor a team of digital marketers and manage 3rd party suppliers/agencies that support digital marketing strategies and execution

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a digital marketing or analytics role at a technology driven company, with a strong preference for mobile application experience
  • 2+ years people management experience with the ability to lead and mentor a team of digital marketers
  • Proficient with Hubspot, GA, GTM, Search Console, and AppsFlyer. An aptitude for learning new martech tools quickly.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a passion for testing and measuring results 
  • Proven track record of driving effective digital strategies that show measurable results
  • Expertise in social, retargeting, mobile app and other digital acquisition channels
  • Understanding of technical SEO and site optimization
  • Understanding of Instagram, Pinterest, and well versed in the broader social media industry
  • Excellent organizational skills and communicator (written, verbal, and presentation-led) who can articulate plans, requirements, and insights to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with frontend development a plus
