As a Development Engineering Manager on the product integrations team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-functioning software development teams and empowering them to achieve their goals. Your greatest responsibility will be looking after the individuals reporting to you – coaching and supporting them in their professional development, unlocking their potential, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel.

You will lead teams by working with Product Managers, Designers, and Architects to build services, plugins, and add-ons that help our customers interact with Atlassian products seamlessly irrespective of the environment they operate in. You will be expected to generate ideas to creatively solve issues and proactively look for opportunities to improve the design, interface, and architecture of Atlassian's products and solutions.

On their first day, we'll expect the candidates to have:

• 1-2 year(s) in engineering management following Agile development processes
• Demonstrated experience as a full stack developer building large scale web software
• Track record of leading a development team in (at least) a technical capacity
• Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation and quality
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• BS (or higher) in CS or related field

It's great if they have experience with:

• Experience with building out integrations for software platforms (Slack, G Apps, etc.)
• Experience with building applications with the Lean Startup methodology.
• Experience running services in the cloud at scale by adhering to proven DevOps methodologies (CI/CD etc).
• Broad knowledge and understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, with hands-on experience of public cloud offerings (AWS, GAE, Azure).
• Familiarity with cloud architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with web application development and JavaScript frameworks (React, JQuery, Angular).
