Ping Identity is looking for a passionate product manager to lead the login and authentication capabilities of our cloud-based IDaaS product, PingOne. You will be responsible for setting the roadmap and leading execution prioritization for our growing customer base.

As a member of the product management team, you will have participate in all phases of the product development cycle. This role is highly collaborative, as you will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to build and manage a fundamental part of Ping's strategic vision.

You will engage with customers to understand detailed use cases and drive requirements into the Ping Identity product development process. You will interact with key stakeholders inside and outside of the company, with a primary focus on the business and technical aspects of Ping Identity's IDaaS product offering.

The preferred candidate will have 5 or more years of experience in identity and access management solutions: consumer identity and access management, authentication, directory services, privacy and consent management. and/or mobile identity and identity services. Previous consulting experience in one of these fields is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather customer, prospect and technology partner input to understand customer scenarios and technical requirements and act as the technical expert on customer use cases.
  • Provide detailed input into product planning process and priority of features for communication to engineering.
  • Develop detailed technical requirements and work closely with engineering feature and component teams during elaboration to ensure customer requirements are being met.
  • Create user personas and user scenarios for strategic and innovative technology products, features and enhancements.
  • Monitor competitors, industry innovations, and standards bodies.
  • Support our technology partnerships by providing technical expertise on
  • Ping Identity products, identifying technical integration points, defining the product value proposition and creating complementary technical presentation materials.
  • Oversee the creation of technical, roadmap, and strategic presentations.
  • Participate and present at industry conferences, including Ping Identity's public and customer events.
  • Travel required, predicted to be 20-30% and will include customer site visits, conferences, trade shows, plus sales and marketing events.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for improving the consumer login and authentication experiences (leading the market to a zero-password future) and will have:

  • Five or more years experience in authentication and identity/access management
  • A solid technical understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML)
  • Certifications in product management and/or agile development best practices
  • Demonstrated success at driving innovation in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communications skills in all forms, including technical presentations (development and delivery) and technical documentation, diagramming, and be especially proficient at simplifying complex concepts in order to drive stakeholders to effective decisions and consensus
  • Ability to align execution to organizational vision by prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment to drive results in several projects simultaneously

Additional Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will be professional, display strong interpersonal skills and team orientation, and will be customer-savvy.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science with 5+ years of experience in software product development or product management.
  • Ability to own and lead all aspects of a program from planning through to successful launch, not just schedule management.
  • Experience working with distributed implementation teams
