YOUR OPPORTUNITY 
We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager, Emerging Products. In this role, you will join a small, nimble product and design team responsible for defining and implementing the vision across multiple SaaS products and channels (mobile, desktop, tablet). You will work with and learn from engineers, designers, account managers, sales directors, and customer support teams. You will establish and grow a pipeline of new and reimagined versions of existing products and features that solve customers’ problems in novel ways. We have a small team, so there is no room for specialization, but there is a lot of room for learning. Most of your time will be spent on validating problem/solution and product/market fit. A good chunk of your time will be spent on understanding users and their problems. Some of your time will be spent on developing solution hypotheses with design. Almost none of your time will be spent on competitors because we focus on users. This is a hands-on, not off, role.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for…

• Establishing and driving a pipeline of new product ideas from concept to mocks to prototypes to MVPs
• Conducting user and market research to deeply understand user problems and market dynamics
• Studying history to understand how markets and technologies have evolved, failed and succeeded
• Creating and leading experiments to validate problem/solutions and product/market fit
• Leading multiple iteration cycles based on user feedback and testing
• Analyzing potential risk of as each product progresses through validations stages
• Working closely with design, engineering, legal, and marketing to ensure we are focused on user problems
• Executing on several prioritized projects concurrently while pushing everything forward
• Making decisions based on logic, data (qualitative and quantitative), and your judgment

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

• With the ability to redesign almost anything to make it better
• Having built a few prototypes based on user research
• With the wisdom from conducting many failed experiments
• Being able to teach a non-technical audience about photovoltaics, APIs, or natural language processing
• With a track record of figuring things out when the paint-by-number kit is missing most numbers
• Able to understand and appreciate how strategy, sales, product, engineering, and ops are intertwined
