Molecula is looking to bring on a Product Manager who will relentlessly infuse the voice of the customer into our product development processes, while evangelizing best-in-class development practices to deliver valuable products on time. We are looking for people who are passionate about solving challenging problems and have a sense of urgency to deliver high value to our customers.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Own, manage, refine, and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap based on user, customer, market, and business inputs
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and use cases to drive product strategy and roadmap for the Molecula platform
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to distill the most important problems to be solved into customer-oriented user stories and requirements
  • Understand customer pain points related to Molecula adoption, configuration, usability, and management and identify opportunities to improve end-user experience
  • Create and use a data driven approach to product
  • Use your expertise to influence positive change within our product management processes
  • Collaborate with your colleagues in product and the engineering team to evangelize, enhance, and refine our Agile Scrum product development practices
  • Keep various stakeholders across the business updated, engaged, and excited about the work our teams are doing and what we’re enabling for our customers
  • Support go-to-market teams in the curation and writing of content that helps our customers, and customer-facing teams, make the most of our product and the features that we build
  • Keep up to date with technical trends, the big data and data access industry, and emerging business cases

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-starter who wants to play a critical role in scaling Molecula, both the company and the product
  • A catalyst who makes every conversation turn into action and leaves no decision left hanging
  • Have an instinct for prioritization and the ability to articulate the why behind priority
  • Have held positions in technical product, program, or project management, or a related role. Bonus: That role provided you with an understanding of backend database systems, and/or the complexities around data access, particularly for analytics and machine learning
  • Have collaborated with developers and engineering teams to build software and/or SaaS offerings
  • Experience with source code repositories and bug tracking systems like Github and others
  • Excellent listener and always have more questions to ask
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to distill technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Enthusiasm for working in a highly collaborative environment
  • A love for tacos

Preferred Experience:

  • A technical background, preferably in databases, infrastructure, developer products and tools, or other data products
  • Proficient knowledge in Agile Scrum methodology
  • Product analytics and user research
  • Proficient knowledge in data infrastructure technologies
  • Familiarity with Open Source go-to-market strategies and projects, specifically Pilosa
