As the Product Manager/Director you will report to the COO and set the product vision for the company. You will manage the development of product specifications the engineering team will develop to ensure that vision becomes a reality. In addition to working with engineering, you’ll work with marketing to ensure quality documentation and promotion of products and features, with sales to ensure the products are understood and sold appropriately, and with client success to ensure products meet market needs. Most importantly, you’ll understand our customers and prospects so that you can deliver quality solutions they love.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a product evangelist both inside and outside the company
  • Understand our users. Know their needs and identify opportunities to build products and features that delight our users, entice new users, drive engagement, and increase retention
  • Know the competition. Be an expert in the connected knowledge space and innovate to separate us from the competition
  • Lead the definition and sharing of a product vision based on input from customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders. Articulate that vision internally and externally
  • Develop (with input from others) the product roadmap that executes on the product vision and drives innovation and quality
  • Help define and execute a product development methodology
  • Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to end-of-life
  • Maintain the product backlog, including prioritization and grooming
  • Ensure a smooth handoff of product requirements to the engineering team
  • Establish and execute feature launch plans that ensure quality
  • Analyze product data and make iterative product changes based on actual usage as well as user feedback
  • Communicate strategically both internally and externally. Bring teammates to the table at the right time to ensure effective communication across the team
  • Work with internal stakeholders on feature descriptions and promotion
  • Inspire and drive activity cross-functionally
  • Provide executive briefings on product status, planning, and roadmap

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a product manager, product owner, or product director
  • Experience in a startup environment with cross-functional responsibilities
  • Experience working with enterprise customers
  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to releasing solutions that delight users
  • Strategically focused and tactically excellent
  • Must appreciate ambiguity and have the desire and ability to resolve ambiguity
  • Consistently deliver quality work on schedule
  • Ability to consider problems from all angles
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to be an individual contributor as well as a leader
  • Title will be determined based on experience
