Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in leading product management.
• Experience developing related consumer oriented products and understanding of current technologies and services.
• Experience providing product vision and roadmaps, directing product launches through to writing PRDs and MRDs.

Preferred qualifications:

• Advanced degree in engineering or MBA.

As the Senior Director, Product Management, Consumer, you will develop a vision for how to unify the user experience across the portfolio of products, creating a one-stop shop for users to navigate and manage their data/settings. Success in the first six months will be creating a clear vision that unifies the team and shows the path forward for how we are going to accomplish this work. We’re looking for a collaborative leader who has a track record of managing strategic complex problems that require a concerted effort across a large group of senior stakeholders.

The Core Systems team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core Systems team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead ongoing delivery for a multi­-year product roadmap, balancing short­ and long­ term goals and investments.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership, including Legal, to align product and compliance objectives.
• Partner closely across all the different product groups at Google to create, drive, and deliver a coherent user experience.
