Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience leading in product management in security, user, trust, or privacy.
  • Experience in leading product vision and roadmaps, directing product launches through to writing PRDs and MRDs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in engineering or MBA.

About the job

We are looking to bring in a leader focused on Security, Trust and Privacy for users across Google’s portfolio of products. You will focus on protecting users from third parties, and malicious actors.

As the Senior Director, Product Management, User Trust, you will work horizontally across the entire company, having a direct impact on the user security of billions of users across Google’s product portfolio, as well as serve as an industry leader for this complex, important and highly visible area.

We’re looking for a collaborative leader who has a track record of managing strategic complex problems that require a concerted effort across a large group of senior stakeholders.

The Core Systems team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core Systems team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Evolve the central anti-abuse strategy and our overall security posture, with the ultimate goal of keeping users safe.
  • Design and lead ongoing delivery for a multi­-year product roadmap, balancing short­ and long­ term goals and investments.
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership, including Legal, to align product and compliance objectives.
  • Partner closely across all the different product groups at Google to create, drive, and deliver a coherent user experience.
