Senior Product Manager, Halp
Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, we will provide the choice to work from home or return to work in an office unless a job requirement makes it necessary for a particular role to be performed at an Atlassian office.
Are you a systems thinker that enjoys solving puzzles?
Do you get weirdly passionate about small details that can make or break a feature?
Do you love talking to customers to build empathy and understand their pain points?
Do you sometimes find yourself talking for hours about the future of enterprise software?
Then this Senior Product Manager role could be a great fit for you!
Halp is a conversational ticketing solution for internal IT and operations teams using Slack and Microsoft Teams. The product impacts hundreds of thousands of employees at future-thinking companies like Peloton, Pinterest, and Unity. It is used to dramatically reduce ticket resolution times, increase user satisfaction, and amplify productivity.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast moving team that joined Atlassian via acquisition and is growing quickly. You’ll get to ship features every week and solve scaling problems on a small, nimble team with product market fit. At the same time you’ll leverage the resources, brand, and scale of a global Fortune 100 company. Atlassian is on the cutting edge of modern product craft, and is still led by the two original founders who relentlessly pursue the vision to unleash the potential in every team. You’ll be joining a product-led company where product managers set strategy and lead teams towards ambitious goals.
In this role you'll get to:
- Own several major product initiatives to grow the Halp business - including defining the roadmap and executing on the vision.
- Spend as much time as possible talking to customers and analyzing customer feedback to inform product decisions.
- Work closely with engineers to define product specs and iterate on experiences as they are delivered.
- Align with the product marketing team to ensure new features are shared with and adopted by customers.
- Collaborate across other teams at Atlassian to encourage cross-flow and platform adoption that enables Atlassian as a whole to scale.
- Work closely with a team of product managers to provide input on the long term vision of the Halp product.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or starting your own company in the SaaS space
- You’ve build products that rely heavily on integrations, bonus if it is a Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Jira integration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well technical writing chops.
- Ability to deal with uncertainty and are able to make data driven decisions without complete evidence.
- You have strong opinions but enjoy being challenged to think about a problem from a different angle.
- You’re excited about cross-functional work between engineering, design, marketing, and the rest of the organization.
- You love designing and executing experiments, using a combination of qualitative and quantitive data to measure success. You’re not afraid to admit when you were wrong about a hypothesis.
- A desire to spend time with customers to understand new ways to solve problems in the help desk and request management space.
- Excitement about working on a small, scrappy team within Atlassian.
- Ideally, you have some experience with SQL or MongoDB and writing your own queries to build product dashboards and measure impact.
