Pinpoint is looking to hire our first product manager. The ideal candidate has experience taking a product from vision to delivery; loves filling all the whitespace that exists in a startup and clearing the path for the team to deliver a great product. You will own our work management system, Jira, and ensure requirements are built and delivered. In this position, trust and communication both internally and externally are key along with building relationships both in the office and remotely. You must be able to handle a fast-paced environment requiring swift decision making and commitment to end-user success with our product. You will be a guide, helping everyone build the right product for our customers. You have empathy for the end-user. As PM at Pinpoint, which is “customer 0”, you will utilize our own product to maintain and monitor the progress of our teams and how effective we are delivering our software. You will embrace what you don’t know and surround yourself with talented people as we build a foundation for growth.

You have the following proficiencies

  • UX - You passionately care about the end-user and will push the company to make decisions that make the end user’s time on Pinpoint’s products a delightful experience
  • Technology - Though this role does not require coding expertise, you have a passion for current technologies and trends. You understand that being on the cutting edge is not only crucial to building the product but also building rapport with the team. You also recognize this gives you the context necessary for roadmap prioritization.
  • Business - You will work with the leadership team to align product goals with internal OKRs. It will also be important to gain a clear understanding of how decisions impact the rest of the business.

You have these important traits

  • Focus less on glamour and more on empowering teams to build the most impactful product possible.
  • Don’t mind being a street sweeper.
  • Understand your job is to clear a path for everyone else to set them up for success.
  • Build the simplest version of every feature before moving to the grander vision.
  • Capable of finding the most important features.
  • Prioritize necessary and often less flashy capabilities which are more beneficial for the evolution of the product.

If this role is exciting you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all 100% of the description or qualifications. We believe the collective sum of our individual differences, point-of-view, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, self-expression, background and talent are what helps us achieve our vision.
