HotSchedules is seeking a Product Manager who will be responsible for managing a core product within our portfolio of SaaS applications. You will be responsible for working with the engineering and the creative design team across a suite of HotSchedules products.  This role requires you to set the overall product vision, execute product strategy, and build/evangelize our product culture and mentor and grow a first-in-class product and design team.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Manages input from internal and external stakeholders
  • Prioritize input from forums, client services, sales
  • Develop and maintain User Stories, Roadmap, Release Plans
  • Create experience maps and UI Mockups as needed to complement user stories
  • Manage major feature releases, coordinate discovery phase, and user story prep
  • Plan and manage product roll-out and assist with the day-to-day operational support post-roll-out.

Managing Feature Release Readiness & Deployment

  • Release Notes and Training / Doc updates
  • Defining and maintaining feature quality measures
  • Work with Client Services to conduct beta testing and manage customer issues
  • Support UAT for selected companies
  • Develop product briefs and/or demonstrations with alpha/beta capabilities to educate internal and external audiences on the value of upcoming features/products

 

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Agile development certifications
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with strong communication, collaboration, influencing and writing skills
  • Strong business analysis skills: requirements gathering, use cases, documenting business processes
  • Relevant experience in the back office/restaurant operations industry
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with a delivery based orientation
  • Experience with project management methodologies and best practices
  • Proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to present ideas and information in group settings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experience a strong plus)
  • Ability to lead with an enthusiastic, high-energy and motivating approach, who is visibly passionate and is capable of inspiring and motivating a fast growing team.
  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of product management experience with web-based projects and team management in SaaS and software companies.
  • Ability to write clear market-driven requirements, prioritize feature requests, and communicate trade-offs
  • Full product life cycle management experience, including user acceptance testing, launch, and end of life processes.
  • Demonstrated experience operating as the Product Owner within an agile environment.
  • Comfortable presenting to large internal groups and C-level executives.
  • Ability to work closely with the engineering team to communicate detailed business and technical requirements, target customers, and key business value.
  • Self-starter, proactive, demonstrated self and team motivator with an ability to persuade, influence
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of the restaurant or services industry a plus.
