About the department
The Delivery Management team in Cloudflare is growing! We are the team that collaborates across Product, Engineering and other Business stakeholders to provide support and the structure and guidance for teams to balance many competing priorities, maximise efficiency and ensure team happiness. We provide tailored solutions to the teams we’re working with, focusing on the organisation and optimisation of people, processes, and technologies in order to maximize results.
What you'll do
Your main responsibility will be to work with Engineering, Customer Support and Reliability Teams to track work execution, lead planning cycles, build momentum, and manage dependencies. You will be the delivery focused coach for the teams, using various tools and agile methodologies focusing on driving efficiency for the Site Reliability Engineering teamsYou will play an active part in collecting requirements, setting up deliverables, reporting progress to executive stakeholders, managing complex dependencies and contributing to the product development process.
You will be able to draw on your experience on a wide range of products and services to create realistic delivery plans, and oversee execution to meet commitments and with predictability. You ensure teams are motivated, collaborating and working well. You should understand the dual nature of the Site Reliability function and be able to identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them while using your skills to facilitate retrospectives and health checks in order to lead continuous improvement.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- You have previously worked with SRE, DevOps or Platform teams Engineering, Customer Support and Technical Operations teams to track work execution, lead planning cycles, maintain momentum, and manage dependencies
- You have experience in Agile development practices (Scrum, Lean techniques, XP, Kanban etc)
- You have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and a keen interest in working with complex technical operations, data structures, software design, and building large, distributed systems
- You are comfortable working with multiple time zones and cross functional teams
- You have already worked on products and services with strict SLO/SLA metrics; bonus points for having setup metrics from scratch with your previous teams
- You can easily use tools like JIRA and Confluence to manage and deliver projects
