RapidDeploy is looking for a GIS Implementation Specialist to join the delivery team in creating and maintaining a complex and comprehensive dataset of jurisdictional boundaries of all customers. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with customers while leveraging your GIS expertise to deliver public safety software solutions to our customers.
What You'll Be Doing at RapidDeploy
- Engage customer to determine data requirements, propose solutions, and assist with implementation
- Edit polygons utilizing topology rules and relationship databases
- Creation of custom GIS scripts, tools, and applications for various data processing requirements (using Arcpy, Model Builder)
- GIS database maintenance and management
- Publish content (geocode, feature, map, image, etc.) to ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
- Troubleshooting GIS Systems problems with data processing, delivery, service generation, and other data lifecycle issues in GIS Systems
- Resolve customer service issues related to GIS technology
What You'll Need to Be Successful
- Experience with the Esri suite of software, including: ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise (Server, Portal) and ArcGIS Online
- Knowledge of the following languages and technologies: Python, SQL, REST, JSON
- Familiarity with versioned ArcSDE geodatabase (multi-user editing)
- Experience creating and maintaining geocode services
Over time, we anticipate the responsibilities of this role to grow and evolve, under the mentorship of Senior GIS staff. In the longer term, we would work to expand the skillset to include more complex GIS tasks, including, but not limited to, the following activities:
- Engage customer on Capacity Planning for High Availability (HA) Systems
- GIS System Administration (ArcGIS Enterprise, SQL Server, GeoEvent Server)
