As a Blackbaud Professional Services Program Manager you will be accountable for major, strategic project(s) that require delivery across multiple Blackbaud solutions. Be accountable for the project lifecycle which includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria.  Working across a cross functional team of services resources that represent various job families (Architect, Developer, Business Analyst, Business Systems Analysts, Project Manager and Engineers) in addition to working with cross departments within Blackbaud and Customer Operations to deliver the project. 

Key activities that will ensure client, project and Blackbaud success include: 

  • Application of business and technical knowledge in the development of project plans and tools to manage the delivery and implementation of the solutions.  

  • Inform and develop innovative project plans including strategy definition, project forecast allocation, timelines and milestones, and contingency planning.   

  • Mentoring, coaching or guiding other Project Managers and team members 

  • Ability to build a strong relationship with the Customer, to understand their business needs and ensure requirements are reflected in the plan. 

  • Actively use change control across the project and engage in direct conversations with the team and Customer about change. 

  • Ability to leverage networks and expertise to identify new business opportunities and/or ways to advance business practices for the good of the company, its employees, and its customers 

  • Collaboration with leadership to effectively implement, streamline or advise on program or process improvements.    

  • Operate autonomously and collaborate across multiple internal and external stakeholder organizations. 

  • Act with empowerment to think innovatively and creatively on ways to provide clients solutions and improve Blackbaud processes. 

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of client and company engagement. Ability to communicate to various internal stakeholders including CEO, Vertical Presidents and other executives on recurring basis. 

  • Understanding of the deliverables of each team member and be able to provide a first level of quality analysis and direction to the team.  

  • Strategic thinker capable of connecting people, process, and technology in ways that support or advance the goals of the business and add value to our customers.  

  • Brings strategic business ideas to the attention of the appropriate teams and is capable of leading initiatives to execute on approved plans. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree  

  • 10+ years experience in Project/Program management role; 5+ years managing enterprise-level implementations 

  • Proven experience leading multi-product implementations 

  • Deep experience managing resources in a matrixed environment including other Project Managers 

  • Experienced user of Microsoft Project and in the management of project plans 

  • Ability to travel up to 40%, depending on customer requirements  

  • Experience in a management role in a consulting environment preferred 

  • Knowledge of Blackbaud products and the non-profit industry preferred 

  • PMP certification preferred
