What we’re looking for, in a nutshell:
Amherst is seeking an energetic and highly organized Project Management Specialist who will act as a front line role, applying in-depth knowledge of Trello, Asana and Hive to facilitate breakthrough improvements that maximize productivity, demonstrate measurable results and help teams achieve their goals. In this role you will be vital to the success of various business units by developing, implementing and maintaining effective processes to support and improve productivity strategies.
The ideal candidate has significant experience utilizing project management software and processes, possesses superior self-motivation and interpersonal skills, and is and not intimidated to roll up their sleeves to get something done. 
 
A little more about this role:
  • Providing advocacy for management systems and technologies
  • Working closely with SMEs to understand business goals and develop relevant processes to ensure they are achieved
  • Customizing, updating and maintaining project management tools to make operations and processes as efficient as possible
  • Monitoring the performance of the various processes, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing the changes required
  • Executing all aspects of product training to ensure understanding of application features and functions
  • Developing and executing communication plans to help users get the most from each product when updates and new features become available
  • Building dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and metrics
  • Working closely with the Technical Project Management team to share best practices, maintain project timelines, facilitate communication between Technology and Operational teams, and help resolve project issues
What you’ll need to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree with preference for technology or business-based programs or equivalent work experience
  • Expert knowledge of project management systems; specifically Asana, Trello and Hive
  • 1-3 years of project coordination/management experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational and coordination skills are a MUST; We desire someone with extreme multi-tasking capabilities with a “get things done” attitude and approach for every project thrown your way
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and persuasive communication skills
  • Demonstrable success of leading or being an instrumental part of a team, which has met or exceeded multiple objectives and targets
  • Prior business process optimization or continuous improvement experience a plus
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Kanban, etc.)
  • Proficiency with MS office suite of tools with moderate to advanced skills in Excel
