Team

As a product team member, the Project Manager will specialize in improving processes and systems across all hOp products. This role will require switching contexts and acting as a translator between business needs and technical tasks required to bring new features to life. 

Role Description

The Project Manager will collaborate with the Product Owner and the Business Development organization on requirements, business value scoring, and success metrics. The Project Manager will drive the information gathering process to assess business needs accurately, including risk and impact analyses and “as is” or “to be” process documentation. The Project Manager will review technical solutions for compliance with business processes and objectives. The Project Manager may contribute to solution designs, testing plans, execution, and the training, troubleshooting, and project management aspects of addressing business and operational needs. 

Responsibilities

  • Help drive the product vision and high-level strategy to support opportunity management implementation in the process 
  • Understand, analyze, and translate business and marketing requirements into functional requirements, supporting documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Drive feature assessment, requirements gathering, sprint planning, and documentation
  • Develop and own user stories and acceptance criteria that represent the requirements provided by the business
  • Prioritize the work for the scrum team to ensure focus on the highest business value items
  • Partner with the dev manager and scrum master to remove any blockers for the team
  • Work closely with the scrum team in supporting the execution of their work
  • Work closely with a product owner to communicate product outcomes as well as any challenges/obstacles to stakeholders across areas of expertise, including IT and Sales
  • Ensure transparency and traceability from requirements gathering through delivery and beyond
  • Identify test scenarios, develop test scripts, and execute testing in support of system and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Ensure solutions promote simplicity, efficiency and conform to enterprise and architecture standards and guidelines
  • Provide updates and work successfully as a liaison with various internal business/technical partners
  • Partner with the support organization to provide training, support, and technical assistance to the operations team and end-users
  • Contribute and establish standards and best practices 

Job Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior participation in feature assessment, requirements gathering, and documentation, as well as use case definitions for techno-functional initiatives
  • Knowledge of various modeling techniques such as process modeling, data modeling, system modeling
  • Understanding of technology infrastructure and how it interconnects, including sharing data to achieve a business goal
  • Attention to the user experience and knowledge of how a user interface helps the user to complete a task
