ABOUT THE ROLE 


We are looking for an exceptional Senior Agile Project Manager to join our teams. You’ll be developing the future of healthcare - helping our squads to deliver amazing product capabilities. You’ll be experienced in agile frameworks and able to develop high-performing, cross-functional teams using a servant leadership approach, working across multiple teams.  


At the same time, you’ll be able to flex with helping those teams to meet challenging deadlines, coordinating dependencies across multiple teams and collaborating with different stakeholders from across the business. You’ll feel comfortable managing projects and programmes which span multiple teams. Finally you’ll always be seeking out better ways of doing things, and be able to take the lead on wider process improvements!


Our teams work using different agile frameworks, particularly Scrum or Kanban, to deliver amazing products to support members and to make healthcare affordable and accessible for everyone on the planet. This might be products such as building the clinical notes assistant capabilities and creating an intelligent and personalised health assessment framework. Our teams also create platform features like developing capabilities allowing sharing of health data between various Babylon services and integration of Babylon products with other partner systems.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Managing delivery across multiple development squads within our Engineering organisation, you will also be responsible for managing more complex cross team projects where required and setting up mechanisms to identify and resolve dependencies
  • Use your servant leader skills to help teams and individuals collaborate and communicate in effective and sustainable ways
  • Provide assurance for the delivery fundamentals - time, cost, scope, outcomes, risks and issues, and cross team dependencies across the business
  • Be a champion of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and clinical safety processes to ensure we meet compliance standards
  • Drive the continuous delivery that is required to deliver against challenging timelines in a fast and constantly evolving environment
  • Encourage, inspire and support teams to continuously improve their ways of working
  • Be a key point of contact and build trust with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Take ownership of deliverables and initiatives to improve delivery across the organisation
  • Bring expertise in agile software development to the tribe, both via good knowledge of the theory and experience of having applied it in a number of environments
  • Engage in the quarterly planning process, facilitating the translation of business objectives to clearly defined, outcome based goals for squads to deliver against
  • Mentor juniors and other members of technology teams on agile delivery practices

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of previous experience of working with engineering teams delivering a global product at scale as an Agile Project Manager, Scrum Master, Delivery Manager or similar
  • Have a solid understanding and experience of implementing various agile methodologies that are suitable to the work we are delivering, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Have successfully led teams through the full product life cycle and gained experience using a variety of tools and techniques to drive delivery
  • Track record of success defining, planning and delivering innovative project workstreams
  • First class communication skills, with the ability to tailor your style to different audiences, both technical and non-technical
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, setting a continuous delivery rhythm for our teams
  • The ability to define, coach and embed Agile and Lean best practices within the teams 
  • Solid analytical skills, using data to drive our decision making
  • Experience working in scale up environments and drive agile at scale best practices would be an advantage
  • Experience of highly regulated environments and/or healthcare would be ideal
  • Experience or knowledge of project management frameworks would also be beneficial but not essential.
