Location: Austin, TX or Durham, NC or Arlington, TX
Type: Full Time
As a Technical Program Manager, you will build relationships with our business stakeholders and technical leads to proactively solicit new scope and feed our development pipeline iteratively.
You will work closely with Release Management to understand the timing of our releases from start to finish. You will conduct recurring meetings to understand the business priority of submitted features and the feasibility of technical delivery by their want dates and revenue start dates.
The Technical Program Manager is expected to have a strong technical background in agile IT delivery as well as solid communication skills for updating our leadership all the way up to our chief officers.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in account, project and program management
- Solid experience with Agile delivery practices balanced with handling scope changes and aggressive timelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with peers, management and senior leadership, including creating meaningful presentations for executives
- Must be able to lead or collaborate on multiple projects
- Experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid experience in IT pipeline management
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles and their critical approval gates
- Advanced meeting facilitation skills
- Experience mentoring, coaching and developing rising talent in the technology department
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with a strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision- making
- Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
