Senior Credit Analyst 

Your Mission

The Senior Credit Analyst focuses on supporting the CGO, DD, SF and Collections team by being a key point of contact for handling credit reviews of new and existing customers. This senior position is instrumental in managing credit reviews for SADA and managing risk for startups, public, private and complex customer deals. In addition, this employee would help develop process improvement, document procedural.

Required Travel -None

Onboarding/Training - The first several weeks of onboarding are dedicated to learning and will encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Details of the timeline are shared closer to the start date. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all credit reviews 
  • Analyze customer credit risk utilizing credit reports, customer financials & payment history for existing customers 
  • Strong knowledge of D&B and Credit scoring/decision reviewing existing customers and opportunities for new B2B customers
  • Candidate must be a team player with a high level of personal motivation, able to work independently, able to work on multiple tasks/projects concurrently and meet multiple competing deadlines
  • Review the deal opportunity along with any factual credit and financial to determine appropriate strategy; Interface with the sales team and CX in effort to mitigate and resolve all customer disputes, cash flow concerns or any collection issue, which delays timely payment
  • Encourage payments to be made on time as indicated by account terms while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Escalate to Supervisor accounts that are not paying or has indicated insolvency
  • Update account status and notes in collections system according to established procedures
  • Investigate disputes and resolve customer inquiries related to past due invoices
  • Recommend process improvements to Collections Supervisor/Manager to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Support Credit & Collections Team by contributing on departmental projects and initiatives as needed

Education

  • Four years of college resulting in a bachelor’s degree or working towards a degree in finance or accounting or 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement


Relevant Work Experience

5 to 7 years in credit & collections in a lead position or a related field.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Mid level of excel experience (ability to create pivot tables and VLOOKUP's examples) for top customer reviews/meetings
  • Strong Process Improvement skills and ability to run projects
  • Ability to apply strategic approaches to collections
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced level of expertise in systems 
  • Excellent Time Management Skills

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have direct reports but does serve as a "lead" role for others doing similar work
