Manufacturing - Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Senior Business Analyst
Description
Design, build, execute, implement and troubleshoot Warehouse Management System (WMS), Electronic Pull System, (EPS), Part Pull System (PPS), and Part Sequence System (PSS), Material Global Optimization (MGO) and Barcode Validator (BarVal), using Manhattan WMS, AutoCAD, PowerBl, and Excel tools, to ensure clean, flexible just in time (JIT) and just in sequence (JIS) delivery of high volume flow of raw materials, non-productive materials and production parts to GM plant gates and manufacturing lines in GM high volume vehicle assembly (Paint, Body and General Assembly Shops), stamping, and powertrain plants located in U.S., North America, and globally (South America and GM International), with -3500 - 20,000 part numbers per plant. Ensure development and implementation of best practices and continuous improvement solutions to WMS, EPS, PPS, MGO, BarVal, and part sequence systems. Coordinate Change Requests (CRs) and continuous improvements of WMS. Partner with U.S. and global cross functional engineering and service organizations including Manufacturing, Engineering, Launch, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain (GPSC) to understand and document business processes, manufacturing engineering, inbound logistics business needs, and industry best practices in warehouse management. Required travel to vehicle GM vehicle assembly and powertrain plants in U.S. and Argentina to review manufacturing processes and facilities layouts, and to install and improve facilities and plant warehousing management systems, up to 6 weeks per year (equal to -12% annual travel).
Additional Description
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related. Twelve months' experience as Engineer, Analyst, or related. Must have experience with designing and implementing Warehouse Management System (WMS), Electronic Pull System, (EPS), Part Pull System (PPS), and Part Sequence System (PSS), using Manhattan WMS, AutoCAD, and PowerBl, tools, to ensure clean, flexible just in time (JIT) delivery of high-volume flow of raw materials, non-productive materials and production parts to vehicle assembly plant.
