WHO YOU ARE.

Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our fun, playful and fast-growing team! This position will report to our VP of Engineering.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Create PCB and electrical designs for new products and accessories
  • Support legacy product design and updates
  • Create PCB schematics, layouts, drawings, and BOMs in PCB design software
  • Support software team related to interfacing with hardware devices
  • Work closely with manufacturing partners to provide engineering support and receive feedback, conduct first-article inspections
  • Support the creation of standards and instruction documents of products, processes, and procedures
  • Conduct and support R&D prototype and product testing
  • Experience with battery management and charging
  • Responsible for working with multidisciplinary team to accomplish common goals
  • Support and champion continuous improvement culture

WHAT YOU ARE GREAT AT:

  • 4+ years of experience in PCB product design/development using PCB software
  • Proficient at electronics design involving wireless communication, integrated and removable batteries, LEDs, IR communication, and ICs.
  • Basic understanding of electrical elements, circuit design, component selection, and fabrication methods
  • Understanding of PCB design and building best practices and industry standards
  • Experience using measurement devices (multi-meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer) and soldering tools
  • Comfortable with hands-on work and the dynamic nature of a rapidly growing start-up
  • Display a positive can-do attitude, leads by example
  • Excellent communication skills

WHAT MAKES YOU THE IDEAL FIT:

  • BS or MS in a related engineering discipline from an accredited university
  • Experience with electromechanical systems
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly
  • ESP32 experience
  • Knowledge of electronics test procedures (EMI/EMC, FCC, etc)
  • Experience in manufacturing high-volume consumer products
  • Experience with simulation software tools
  • Experience in first-article inspection and testing
  • Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturing
  • Experience with sensors, data acquisition, electronics
  • Experience using an ERP system
  • Ability to travel
