iTexico Doubling Their Staff in Austin

The software service company iTexico said they would be doubling the size of their staff in Austin to 24 people this year. In addition, the company intends on also doubling their staff in Guadalajara, Mexico from to 200. Mexico has a rapidly growing pool of IT professionals. Schoox raises $1M

Abila Has a New CFO

Spiceworks Hired a Twitter Executive to Replace Their CFO

Software company Spiceworks has hired Amir Movafaghi, a former Twitter executive, to act as their new chief financial officer. Raytheon Buys Websense for $1.9 Billion

Raytheon, the giant defense conglomerate, has bought Austin-based Websense. The deal is aimed at making high end cyber protection available for commercial companies. Austin's Loop & Tie Is Part of REach's 2015 Accelerator Class

Tanis Communications to open Austin office

Tanis Communications, the marketing and PR services firm specializing in business-to-business (B2B) communications for high-tech companies, announced the opening of its office in Austin this week. The Austin office will be managed by Tanis Account Director Paul Gaither, who joined the agency in March 2015. Tanis’ new Texas office is located in the heart of downtown Austin at 600 Congress Avenue.
