By now we know the Austin tech scene is booming. We’re one of the best startup ecosystems in the world, and we had a total of $993 million in fundings and $437 million in exits in 2014. So far in 2015, Austin digital tech companies have raised over $500 million. But where exactly in town is all that money going?

We broke down all the fundings in Austin from Jan. 1, 2014 to July 15, 2015 by zip code. There were 219 total rounds of funding across 176 startups in that time period, amounting to over $1.5 billion in new capital.

It’s no surprise that the highest concentration of fundings happened in 78701, with 76 total fundings. The downtown area was responsible for over $515 million in funding alone. North Austin zip code 78759 came in second with 20 fundings totalling over $118 million. 78703 had 10 companies funded at $75 million, 78731 had 9 funded, and 78702 had 8 funded.

The most investments came in during January 2014 with 21 fundings, while the largest amount came during October 2014, totalling over $209 million in just that month.

Frequent investors include Austin Ventures, Silverton Partners, Capital Factory and Techstars. Social entrepreneurship company Verb had the most investors in the specified time period and Mozido had the largest disclosed round at $185 million in October 2014.

"In general, Austin activity is better than anything I have seen in the 16 years I have been in business in this town," Krishna Srinivasan, co-founder of LiveOak Venture Partners said. "The entrepreneurial activity is certainly distributed across the city and our portfolio companies are well distributed across the city. If our recent investments are any indication of a trend, we are seeing some migration out of downtown to north of downtown and along 360 as companies look to scale and hire more talent and achieve cheaper/larger office space with plentiful parking."
